Daisy's birthday

Something funny is happening with my photos and I can't see the pictures, only the html. So I'll have to do all my writing below the pictures.
Daisy has been anxiously awaiting her birthday for a month, and because she was born at the end of January, so have I. It's such a cold, gray, cold month that I can't wait for it to be over. Having a birthday right at the end is perfect!
She wanted to open gifts first thing in the morning... surprise. Grandma sent a card with some bills in it. Lizzie's eyes lit up when she saw them, but Daisy had to move them aside to see the fishies on the card. ("Look, Mom! One, two, free fishies. Free like me!")
She also got another Ponyville set. She is quite obsessed with Ponyville. It is the best Christmas present ever because it still gets used every single day. I put ponies in time out when necessary, and I love the way she says "Ponyville" with a little squeak on the first syllable. The best part about these ponies is that they are all hard plastic, so no hair to comb. I figure we have enough hair in this house without the messy pony manes and tails. Ahh...

We had a fun day, celebrating by going to the YMCA for Family Night. We played in the gymnastics center, on the inflatable playground, in the craft room, but not the pool. It was just too cold to think about swimming, even indoors. We ate dinner at Uno Pizza, where Daisy got to make her own little pizza. I tried to make cupcakes, but my fancy Martha Stewart frosting recipe completely failed. I have never had such a culinary disaster in my life. There was no rescuing it at all. So Daisy had to improvise. Fortunately I could distract her with Ponyville.
