The Real Reason

for my SAD (seasonal affective disorder) isn't 5 days of THIS:It's THIS! On March 12, Santa was still flying around Appleton, setting up semi-permanent residence on this garage.
And this caroler still wanted to sing about it.
I love the contrast between the Christmas train and the leprechaun flag.
Finally, the piece de resistance.
I pass this house every day on the way to and from school. My reaction to these decorations up at this point in the year is very strong. I have actually considered bundling them all up and putting them in the backyard... as a favor to the homeowners, who must be VERY busy to just keep walking up the candy cane path past the plastic candles and peppermints, nodding to Santa Claus every time they come home, and never have time to put him AWAY!

Santa is still visiting my street as well. Is it a Wisconsin thing???

That would drive me insane. You know it's bad when they put out a St. Patrick's Day flag RIGHT NEXT to the Christmas stuff. Clearly they know Christmas is over and yet can't seem to send Santa back to the North Pole. Yikes!

I guess in your neck of the woods people might get cold cleaning up the holiday decor - but to be honest, this is why I LOVE my HOA, they fine people $$ for this type of offense!

HAHAHAHAHA! That was hilarious! I guess it's just too cold to get out and put away the Christmas decor! But not too cold to put up the St. Patrick's day flag...of course! I guess they are all assuming that Christmas will be here again soon enough, so what's the point?! So funny! Thanks for the laugh.

Unbelievable. Good old Appleton. "Cold enough to celebrate Christmas year-round!!"

These really are the most depressing pictures I've ever seen. What a bleak, cold, and miserable place! Does the sun ever shine there? It honestly doesn't look like you could get a tan if you sat outside all year with no sunblock. And no skiing to make the long winter bearable? I'd be depressed too.
