So when the YMCA offered a camp, we signed up.
The first two days were great. The girls went all day, came home totally exhausted, and couldn't wait to go back. But on the third day, Lizzie called me to come get her. Now I have to pause right here to just say that, while I love that they do gymnastics, I always worry about injuries. When they are at the gym, I jump a little every time the phone rings, afraid that it might be the Y. I have spent enough time there to know that the chance of injury is proportionally higher in gymnastics than in any other sport. But when your girls are below one percent on the height and weight charts, it's a logical option. I mean, it's not like they can play basketball or flag football.
So when Lizzie told me that she wasn't feeling good, I was actually relieved. And sure enough, she had a fever... that lasted three days, or through the rest of camp. *sigh.* I had to try really hard not to think of the money I had paid. For a t-shirt.
Anna was able to complete the week. And she really did well.
One day was crazy hair day. She had a grand plan. I was a crucial part of that plan. The picture may not show the hair off very well. It was awesome and she won first prize for the craziest hair. This was the first prize I have ever won for doing hair and I took it very personally. Until I had all these girls, I could barely do a braid. Look how far I've come:
