This has been the busiest week ever! Last Saturday I ran a half marathon, my first in years and years. It felt really good to run distance again, and I felt good through the whole thing. I ran with my friend Jeanine and the race was far enough away that we drove up Friday night and stayed the night. The camera wasn't working, so no pictures.
While I was out of town, Kelly ripped out our front bushes using his Blazer (I was sad to miss it), cleaned the house, ironed, and took care of the kids. He was amazing!
This week, he's out of town again. It would have been fine, but it was Lizzie's birthday yesterday and Daisy got tubes put in her ears. He felt horrible to miss it, but it had to be. Daisy did great, but we discovered that she does not respond well to the medication that is supposed to relax her. Instead of being relaxed, she was agitated and floppy. It bugged her that she couldn't walk or even sit up. It bugged me, too. Today she is fine, though.
Lizzie had a great day. We made giant M&M cookies for school and she got to choose her dinner: tuna pasta salad with peas and olives. What is it with my girls and tuna?? She also chose sweet rolls and watermelon. We missed Daddy but he was there in spirit and gave Lizzie a great soccer ball.
