No Photo Available

So we had a very exciting and eventful week, but I hardly took any pictures. I meant to, but every time I reached for the camera, it wasn't there. Anna's birthday was Tuesday and she was so excited to turn four! Kelly was out of town and I couldn't face doing a big party on my own, so after preschool she had her friend Lily over for lunch and a playdate. Anna is always enthusiastic about everything and she loved choosing the menu (pizza, fruit to dip in strawberry yogurt, and chocolate milk, with cupcakes for dessert), picking the games, even setting the table. It was perfect. She also got to choose dinner and since Dad was gone, she chose her favorite: creamed tuna over rice. We always have it when Kelly is out of town because everyone but him loves it. We usually have it with peas, but they make Anna gag, so she chose green beans instead. She opened up a new swimsuit and new flip-flops. They were both a hit!

In other news, Lizzie moved from being a Daisy Girl Scout to a Brownie. The other leader and I worked so hard to make the "bridging ceremony" special for the girls, but neither of us had a camera. We went to the Classical School's Cinco de Mayo party (again, wish we had pictures), and Saturday I took the girls to the YMCA Healthy Kids Day where, among other activities, the girls got to squirt water from a fire hose to knock down cones, run an obstacle course, go down the giant inflatable slide, and blow giant bubbles. Perfect photo ops, but oops, no camera.

Today, after church, Anna and Lizzie ran upstairs to change out of their best dresses for dinner. They must have both put on the first things they could find because they looked GREAT. I had to grab the camera and capture Anna's layers and orange shoes, and Lizzie's premature PJ's. I have given up caring what they wear unless we are going somewhere or it's their third outfit of the day. Too much laundry makes me crazy. So that's our nutty week. I am looking forward to a much calmer and more predictable one....

I can especially relate to the "great photo op, no camera" problem. I'm afraid it's a chronic, inherited condition. So sorry!!!

I especially love that Anna has her shoes on the wrong feet! I adore your girls so much. I have three count-downs this summer, one to baby, one to Mom and Dad, and one to see you!! I can't wait.
