Our Big News

We are excited to announce the impending completion of the Stephenson family.  Yes, the symphony is in its final movement... and we're hoping it will be an adagio to follow the three preceding: allegro, presto, and scherzo.  Chances are not looking good, though.  Kelly and I went for our ultrasound today and this kid would NOT hold still.  So it looks like we're in for it.
It did stop long enough to reveal that...

IT'S A GIRL!

Kelly and I don't often get exactly what we want, but this time we really did!  We are so excited to have four girls we can't believe our good luck.  She is due November 3, which seems like a good time to me.  I have never been pregnant through the summer before, but, good news for us, summer hasn't even come to Northeast Wisconsin yet.  I am feeling good and am craving Lemonheads all the time.  My separated rib is starting to bother me, but I will be seeing a physical therapist for it and hopefully she will be able to help me.

The truth is, we seriously considered keeping this a secret until the baby was born.  We aren't planning any trips home this year, and no one is currently scheduled to come visit us, so we thought we could pull it off.  Some family plans made us rethink the idea, but we still think it would have been great to suddenly announce the birth of a baby no one knew about.

We are currently considering good names and welcome suggestions.

Congratulations from Rache and James! Our vote is for Bertha, or possibly Zelnora.

"Allegro, Presto, and Scherzo." That's the funniest thing I've read in a really long time. I wish you could see me laughing so hard my eyes are watering...

Contratulations, Kelly and Amy! We're excited for you. Wow, 4 girls! You better start saving up for the numerous bathrooms and weddings you will need.

Congratulations, Amy & Kelly! Four girls - just think of the wedding receptions! My favorite girl name (which I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to use) is Lucy. It would fit well with your other girls' names!

My top choice:
Stephanie Stephenson, it's half a family name, and the whole thing has a nice ring to it. She would only have to learn to spell the ends of each word, and think what an incredible understanding of the "ph" sound she would have!

Runners-up:
Sconsie Stephenson (a homage to her birthplace)
I suppose along those lines, Apple Stephenson would work as well. She should always be proud of her heritage.

I also am a fan of the Stephanie Stephenson. If that won't fly, you might consider Heart Friend Infinity Stephenson?

If none of the above suggestions are leaving you thrilled, then there's always Kelly. Kelly Stephenson just has a nice ring to it, don't you think. (If you were having a boy I'd suggest DeRhodes.)Hey I've found a website where you can order your very own maxi machine for your bathroom when the girls get a little older. Now at least you can all retire on the proceeds from your very own Stephenson String Quartet!

Oh. My. Heck!!!!!

Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!!

You are such a supermom. I am so happy for you. And I love your hope for an "adagio" to end your symphony family - so funny.

Yay for the Stephensons!
