But Who's Driving the Zamboni?

Those of you who frequently read this blog (if there are any of you still out there) are probably sick of winter weather entries, and frankly, so am I.  Every year we get a new and more unusual type of weather: the first was gray skies and no precipitation, the second was blowing snow, the third was thunder snow (which will be my name if I ever become an American Gladiator), and this year was the nastiest ice storm ever.  It's hard to see in the picture below, but the sidewalk is covered in two inches of ice.  The temperature was too cold to melt it so we'll most likely have the ice until April.  The snow banks are also covered in inches of ice so the kids walk right on top of it.  Anna wanted ice skates this morning instead of boots.  I had to pick up the carpool yesterday and was trying to help a first grader over an ice bank that used to be a snow bank.  We both ended up on the ice in the parking lot on our bottoms with a surprised look on our faces.
I promise a few Christmas posts once we unpack and find our pictures.

That's a lot of ice! Yipes! Although thunder snow sounds fascinating, and definitely makes a great gladiator name.

I read your blog! I'm out there...
I can hear your voice in my head as I read... It's just like you're standing there talking to me in person. It makes me smile. And yes, the ice is a doozie! Although I might have LOL if I'd seen you go down straight to your bottom!
