Flash Frozen
Have you ever wondered how they do that flash freezing of vegetables and salmon filets? I have... until this morning. Yesterday we had lovely 40-degree weather and things were actually melting and people were smiling and enjoying themselves. But this morning I was awakened at about 3 a.m. by a wind gust that hit the house so hard I wondered if the tornado sirens would go off. They didn't, probably because they were suddenly and viciously frozen solid. When I went outside at 5, the actual temperature was 3 degrees, but with the wind chill it was -30. The worst part was that it never warmed up. Yuck! Now I know how a chicken breast feels.

As we have been seeing these freezing temperatures, I have often thought of you guys up in the Great North. You get a brrrrrrrrrrr with a lot of "r's" from me!
We are FREEZING here too. 55 degrees today. :)
Such a clever comparison, though I'm not sure I could handle experiencing it. Sorry, I'm getting soft in my transition from northern to southern living! We hope that you can thaw enough to have a wonderful Christmas! :)
