That first snowfall

We love that first snowfall of the season.  Thankfully, it was warm enough this time to be out playing and the girls couldn't wait to make a snowman, even though the snow was only about two inches deep.
Lizzie made a snow duck.  Quack!
Me: Daisy, don't eat the snow
D: I not
Me: What are you doing
D: I eat my glove
The making of a bona-fide snowman.  With a little help, the snowballs got properly stacked, edible facial features lovingly provided (overheard: "Anna, stop eating the carrot!"), and a jump rope stuck on each arm to complete her.  Of course, in this house, our snowmen are always technically snow-girls.

It's almost like pictures at the beach--pictures of children playing in snow are SO charming. The colors are vivid and the faces are rosy and happy. What FUN!
