Purr-fect Prelude

Christmas time at the Stephenson home also means recital time.  Lizzie has been practicing for weeks to prepare for her recital.  She wakes up every morning at 6:15 and heads down to the piano for 30 minutes before getting ready for school with very little complaints.  Every morning I am continually amazed. It is evident that the whole family had benefited from Lizzie's practicing because we catch each other humming her pieces, including Daisy.

Well, the big day was yesterday and she did a bang up job.  All that practicing made for a smooth and wonderful performance.

Below is a clip of the recital.  I apologize for the bumpiness of the camera.  We had to take the entire family and keeping Daisy quiet while filming was challenging.  In the first song, Purr-fect Prelude, by Elizabeth Gutierrez, she decided to climb on my lap near the end of the piece.  During the second piece, The Bullfrog's Song, also by Elizabeth Gutierrez, you can hear Daisy start to tap my legs to the beat of the song.
