And In Conclusion

So I thought that I'd have all kinds of time to blog about our trip to Salt Lake this week, but I see now that it isn't in the cards. Just like my knitting project, repainting the bathroom, and sleeping through the night. Instead, I'll have to summarize in a few pictures.

We went to see Mom sing down at the Conference Center. Lizzie and I got to sit in the actual recording, but the younger girls got to see Grammy in her choir dress before she went in to perform.

We got to see all our cousins and go swimming nearly every day. Here are our favorite Texas cousins after a fun swimming session. We love coming here because no one tells Lizzie that she is too small to go off the diving board, Anna can jump in the pool without getting in trouble, and Daisy can swim with both a ring around her middle AND floaties on her arms, just in case.
Yes, that is Cat Deeley from our favorite TV show (and the only one that the girls get to watch with any regularity), So You Think You Can Dance. We went down to the Salt Lake auditions just to check things out, and Cat just happened to come out right then.
Kelly calls her the most beautiful woman on television, and I have to agree. She is even prettier in person, and just as nice as she is gorgeous. Lizzie and Anna were completely tongue-tied and could merely nod in response to her questions. Both of them, though, count this moment as one of the highlights of the vacation.
And what's a trip out west without a little rodeo action. Dad took the girls by train up to Ogden. Mom and I drove up to meet them. We ate "carny" food for dinner, including those ubiquitous Navajo tacos, chili verde burritos, and foot-long corn dogs. FOOT-LONG! It was good eats.

That is so sweet Cat got on the girls' level to talk to them! She really is beautiful and now I'm a fan of her knowing that she was so kind to your girls!
