One of the best things about driving my kids to school every day is that I get to see them interact with their friends. Okay, that may be one of the only good things about driving them every day. My morning mantra is becoming, "But we love their school. But we love their school." Repeated over and over, all that driving gets a little easier to swallow.

Baby Steps
I love the first day of school, and never so much as this year following our quarantine. The girls were definitely ready, too.

Clearly, we did not grow over the summer as much as we would have liked...
Daisy was so excited to start preschool that she sat in the car for 10 minutes before it was time to leave, yelling, "We're going to be so late!" She is going with two of her best friends, Tyler and Boston, and they have a great time. So far, they've learned about sea creatures and Daisy will happily show anyone the ASL sign for friends. I LOVE preschool!
And not to be left out, Lucy started walking. She had been taking little steps here and there, but one day she just stood up and walked.
I've been thinking that she looks so cute toddling around, but yesterday we were walking around a college campus by our house. A group of college students walked by and I heard one of them say, "That is one skinny little baby." The thing is, he said it right as he passed me. Maybe he didn't realize that he said it out loud; maybe he thought he was texting. Whatever - I totally heard it, thank you very much, and I'm working on it. I've discovered that she loves Zingers (well, who doesn't?) and can eat a whole one by herself. So Zingers are now a part of her regular diet. Oh, yeah.

Some people, huh? Your girls are adorable! We get comments about how freakishly tall our kids are, but who wants to be average, right? I am dying over how cute Lucy is! I LOVE babies and all of the "firsts."
Are you going to be in SLC for Christmas? C.J. is getting married, so we'll be there for a few weeks and I'd love to see you, if you're around! Hugs...
I wish I could get Zingers added to my regular diet! :)
Our Lizzy survived on fruit snacks for at least a year and Sam is currently living on goldfish, "pink milk" (that horribly sweet strawberry kind), and salt & vinegar potato chips. Sometimes you just have to go with whatever works!
I love the "first day of school" photos. So cute!
Looks like Lizzie is catching up. Anna still deserves "shortest kid in school." It makes them all FANTASTIC gymnasts and extraordinarily cute. Who wants to talk to that big huge tall girl when you can get the juice from little Anna? And Daisy looks happy as a clam, no knit brows at school I'd guess. Lucy is a little thing. And seeing those little toothpick legs support that tiny body to walk is seriously hysterical. I love her. I just want to shake her...errrr...eat her. :)
Ah... zingers are the BEST! All of a sudden your little girl has transitioned from a baby to a toddler! She is darling. I wrote a period instead of an exclamation point because I thought using a period would seem more factual. Because it is factual. :)
