I'm a Big Girl!

Lucy is 1!

It's always a funny thing to celebrate the first birthday because there isn't another year when a child develops as much and changes as dramatically.

To illustrate:

Here is what we know about Lucy:

Lucy Likes

• her sisters
• Dad
  
• grapes
• her binkies
• her softie blanket
• her shoes
  
• music and dancing
• puppies (from a distance)
• babies (up close)
• baby dolls

• outside
  
• nighttime cuddles, sometimes 2 or 3 in a night
• going up and down the stairs
  
• doing the "windshield wiper" with her arms to clean off her high chair tray
• seeing how far she can send her food (see above)
• sweeping the floor with Mom
• doing anything with Mom

Lucy does NOT like

• being more than 5 feet from Mom at any given moment
• sleeping longer than 4 hours at a time
• ear infections and the antibiotics that follow
• being picked up by her sisters
• puppies (up close)
• any restrictions
• falling
• most foods

This year we anticipate that Lucy will finally double her birth weight and rise above .5% on the weight scale, start sleeping through the night again, sprout a few more teeth, and continue being the smiley, enthusiastic little thing she is.
