Winter Days

This is the time that it gets hard to live in Wisconsin. It happens every year. Fortunately, this winter has not been as cold as the last (not yet, at least). Still, we're happy to stay inside and wait for the snow to melt (hopefully by May).

When we first moved in, Kelly installed swings in the basement to keep the girls amused. People don't consider basements proper living spaces, so ours is unusual in that the walls are painted, and we have some type of flooring. The swings have been a great addition to our home.Lucy LOVES it outside. Even when the rest of us are trying to get in as fast as possible, she is trying to stay out for a few more minutes. She is definitely a Wisconsin baby to be able to tolerate the cold and the wind.

My children don't know what a winter coat is. Life/weather just isn't fair, is it?

You are so fun. I love your blog! Your family picture is so cute and I love your hair. Those swings are the coolest things I've ever seen...note to self! Maybe if I installed one in my basement I'd get more laundry done?! And, I love I"m not the only one with budget contests going on!!

i always think your basement looks like such a fun room. i love the swings and i love the colors. it seems strange to me that it is snowing somewhere. i haven't seen snow in a long time. that is just wrong, isn't it?
