These are two batches of the same kind of cookie. While this batch was in the oven, Lucy threw a tantrum that involved lying on the floor screaming at inhuman pitch for inhuman lengths of time. I didn't hear the timer beep. Then the bishop called to tell me that mutual was canceled tonight and I had to call all my women. A Girl Scout mom beeped through to change her cookie order, and I started trying to download, "Pick a Bale of Cotton" from iTunes for my presentation on slave music in Lizzie's class tomorrow.
The cookies were in the oven for 45 minutes before I remembered them and pulled them out.
Dad, these might even be too brown for you.

Love it! Nothing more annoying than a batch of cookies you can never enjoy. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Oh Amy! I always seem to burn one batch and under cook the other. The third batch usually ends up working out though!
My last batch often comes out overcooked too! I get lazy in the home stretch. I love the basement swings in the post below...great idea!
I am so glad someone else does this. Sometimes I think Tanner may not be the only one with attention challenges...(multi-tasking gone awry).
Hi Amy, What a day of challenges! And the cookies aren't even charcoals! I don't think there is such a thing as sucessful multi-tasking!
