The Best Day Of Lucy's Whole Life (that she can remember).
The weather turned so nice that I, on a whim, invited all the neighbors over to decorate eggs using the Martha Stewart glitter. This glitter is the consistency of dust and looks AMAZING, but it could have been a terrible mess. I also forgot that my neighbor had her day care kids, so I had about seven extra kids than what I originally thought.
It is such a good thing to have friends who teach preschool because they always know how to make a craft kid-friendly. Thanks to Jenny, the kids each had their own plate, painted watered-down glue to blown-out eggs using Q-tips, and only got one color of glitter at a time. Without her, I'm sure I'd still be cleaning glitter out of my vents and scrubbing it out of my kids' hair. I was in so far over my head with this one.

Here are the end results. The kids were all thrilled, even little Rohan, who smashed his green egg (see above).
Daisy was so pleased with her egg, and even more pleased to be wearing a summer dress for the first day all year.

Jake is Jenny's son. Couldn't you just eat him up??

Please explain how Jake, a 6 year old boy, had glitter only on his fingers while Anna, nearly seven and a girl, got it all over her hands.

As if that wasn't enough fun, then another Jenny (we have three just in our little neighborhood) hosted an egg hunt for all the kids.

Blogger is being kind of stinky so I'll have to post the rest of the pictures in another post, which will come BEFORE this one after I get the pics up. Aaaargh.

I'm jealous that you have so many darling children right in your neighborhood. So fun.
