The Sun'll Come Up..

I think every home with children knows how it is to go in stages where videos or cartoons are "the thing."  At our house for the last little while, it's been "Annie."  The girls love watching it over and over and singing all the words (or what they think are the right words).  The movie has also sparked discussions on social issues including orphanages, the Depression, and domestic economic policy.  Look for publication of Lizzie's essay entitled "Socialism: Are We Ready For It" in a future blog post.  Meanwhile, during a Family Home Evening where we chronicled the kids on video, Daisy demonstrated just how much our house is saturated by "Annie."
We wish it was as saturated with our cousin Annie, whom we are missing terribly and wish she would get away from the Houston hurricane season with a visit north...

I loved Annie as a kid. I always sang "Tomorrow" when I was on the swingset. It is good to know that it is still touching the lives of little girls! Sorry about the bug, I have done that before and I swear it sits at the back of your throat all day. YUCK!
