Yuck!

I just got back from my morning run and it's dark here at 5:15 again.  It means that summer is just about ending and that makes me sad.  Anyway, about half a mile from home, I inhaled a bug.  Not swallowed, inhaled.  It made me cough so hard I had to stop and I'm still wondering if it ever left my lungs.  I don't think it was a very big bug, but it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever had happen during a run... so I wanted to share it with all the blogging world.

Also, I've been inspired by the Olympic gymnast from Germany.  She is 33 and a mom and still competing.  So there's still hope for me.  After this pregnancy, I can't wait to work on my back handsprings, kips, and vaults.  Maybe I can even stretch out and do the splits.  Is anyone else inspired by the Olympics?

Amy, we have been glued to the TV for the past 6 days. I've totally ruined my sleep habits, running schedule, and am a zombie all day at work. All I want to do is be a gymnast! The games are FULL of fantastic athletes. I wish I could perform at their level!

Seriously, 5:15am??? You deserve to eat bugs if you get up that early. In all seriousness, between the Olympics and knowing you get up so early (while pregnant), I am now motivated to join our ward's 6am walking group. It's only 2 days a week, but that's better than 0. Thanks for the inspiration.

You ARE inspiring for running while pregnant! I think I'd rather eat that bug. I did spinning and walked on the treadmill while pregnant, but I know you, Miss Overachiever, run until you go into labor. That is impressive! How are you feeling? Loved seeing Daisy sing. "Annie's" been pretty popular around our house as of late too. I just have to sing spontaneously to cover when Miss Hannigan curses! I'd forgotten that she had such a potty mouth!
