Okay, look, I don't often get political, and I really try to remain open-minded, but I have to say that I am a HUGE Sarah Palin fan. I still don't know how I feel about John McCain, but I'm not going to blog about that now.
I love that this woman is so real. Her hair isn't sprayed into the shape of a helmet, she isn't overly made up, and she has a post-pregnancy body. I love that she loves her husband, who is a commercial fisherman, and her five kids. And mostly, I love that she doesn't just say she's pro-life, she lives it. She kept a baby that 90 percent of the world would have aborted and when her teenage daughter got pregnant, she, too, did not abort the child but is accepting the consequences of her actions. Regardless of where you fall on the issues, you have to admire someone who lives their convictions.
Really, I think that I love her so much because she is maybe where I see myself years down the road and she proves that you don't have to come from someplace like California or New York to make a big difference.
This is a good time to live in Wisconsin because we are such a swing state, so I actually think that if Governor Palin comes here, I will go meet her, something I've never done in my life for a politician, celebrity, or athlete. Pictures to follow...

The girls look great on their first day! And that picture of Anna on the wall is great! I love Lizzie's little pose behind her. I can't say I am a big Palin fan, but it is true, she certainly lives her convictions! I'd love to see pictures of your meeting!
