We love the night we carve pumpkins.  The girls love reaching into their own pumpkins and removing the guts.  Here are their initial reactions:
Daisy quickly tired of the guts and moved over to my station with the cookies (our genetic defect that makes the women in my family feel compelled to make cutout cookies for every holiday, even days after giving birth).  She got good at adding the sprinkles after I applied the (best I've ever made) frosting.  She said "'Prinkle, 'prinkle" as she did each one.
Kelly felt like dressing up for every Halloween event this year, carving pumpkins was no exception.

And little Lucy just slept through it all.  Unfortunately that stopped last night.  See the next post...

The faces on the girls with their hands in the pumpkins are classic!! Looks like you all had a fabulous Halloween. Everyone's costumes were exceptional. I especially loved Hermione! Unfortunately, I didn't get around to the sugar cookies this year, but I dreamed of them...all month...in fact, I'm still dreaming of them. I might have to go find a leaf cutter or something so I can make them for no good reason. Love you!

The tie-dye is really something else, but then you scroll down to see the reappearance of the NASCAR thing, and that really takes the cake. Kelly, you are a classic, and I love you.
I didn't make cookies, Savannah ate all my butter.
Just kidding. Already looking forward to Christmas cookies!!!

I love Daisy's big grin with her hand in the guts...I am sure it is a snapshot of her personality! And you may just have to share that frosting recipe if it isn't a secret...I am always compelled to make sugar cookies definitely at Christmas, if not every holiday!
