After days and days of dry weather (and dry grass because no one waters their lawns here), the rain started. The temperatures cooled way off and it has been so pleasant all week. Fortunately, we didn't get as much rain as Steve and Cami got in Houston, and even southern Wisconsin is flooding. But, as usual, we are too far north. I find myself saying that a lot: we are Too Far North. Anyway, more rain is expected today and tomorrow, and then again next week. I still have enough of the West in me that I love rain and consider it a novelty. Clearly, so do the girls.

Yes, I used to wonder why they even made children's umbrellas because the rain is so much fun. Now that I live in a wet place, and so do you, I have a better understanding. We keep one in the car all the time, just in case...
