Today is Kelly's birthday and since he didn't get a chance to post about NYC, I will take the opportunity to use his pictures to tell about what I love about him. The first picture is in the back of the Cottonelle puppy bus "being kind to his behind," which is what he was supposed to be doing there, but after all the yummy food he ate, I'm not so sure he was all THAT kind.

I love Kelly for indulging my love of candy. This is Dylan's Candy Bar, the one place I begged him to visit for me. Check out the Peeps display! Actually, it looks a little like my candy cupboard right now...full of Peeps.

As Kelly wandered through the Met, he found a picture that reminded him of the girls. I love that he always misses us when he's gone, so much so that girls in dresses with perfect hair remind him of home even though there are no stains on the dresses, shoes missing, and errant pigtails. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder.

We are so lucky that Kelly found an industry that he loves. This is his campaign and he is immensely proud of these huge banners in the subway. Not being much of a numbers person myself, I am really glad that when he talks about work it's in slogans, not dollar signs and market shares (which he can also do, but doesn't have to very often).

And I just had to include the celebrity spokeswoman for the campaign. Isn't she cute?
One other thing I love about Kelly is that he wants to be home, even after a trip like this. Because of a blizzard in Chicago, all flights but one were cancelled last Friday. Kelly wrangled his way onto that one flight, which required waking up at 3 a.m., then rented a car in Chicago and drove 6 hours to get home (it's usually only 3 hours). That deserved a hero's welcome.
So happy day to the guy who is still the man of my dreams.

Happy Birthday Kelly! Looks like work is really tough these days. We hope you had a great b-day.
