Dinsney-fied

We are back from a wonderful trip with the Stephenson cousins. It's always hard to come home from a trip, but this one was especially hard. Seeing that somewhere in the country spring has arrived makes it no fun to return to the middle of winter. As I write this, it's 10 degrees outside and that's about the high temp for the day.

We also rediscovered that the lifestyle in the west suits us. People are more active, there is more to do outside, and the food choices tend to be healthier (they don't fry vegetables besides potatoes).

Anyway, here are a few favorite photos:

This is the new "Toy Story" ride and we really loved it. I love any ride that everyone can do, and even Lucy is allowed on this one, but the 3-D glasses are too big for her.

Grandma's favorite activity at Disneyland is shopping so we spent some time in the giant Disney store... maybe a little too much time.

This is my favorite picture of a series that Kelly took called Anna:hats.

The three oldest girls at Toontown. This was the first really warm day and it is also the last day that Anna has willingly worn a coat and shoes, even since we've been back. Friday, she carefully picked her way over snow in SANDALS! I thought that would fix her, but yesterday she came downstairs dressed for the day in shorts.

And, of course, the obligatory princess picture. The princesses don't roam the park like they used to do. Now they stay at the Princess Faire and patrons must wait in lines longer than any ride line to meet them. (Apparently, they were getting mauled too much when they were on their own and needed a little more security. Um, it was adults that were mauling them, not kids.) So we waited for just over an hour, and we were lucky to have gotten there when we did. The line behind us was two hours long. For all that waiting, we got to meet three princesses, undisclosed until the front of the line: Ariel, Jasmine, and Belle. If we had wanted to meet Cinderella, who knows how many more times we would have had to wait!

No Way!! We just got back from Disneyland on Wednesday night!! Were we there at the same time? If so, I"ll feel so badly that we didn't see you!! :(

We had a wonderful time too. You gotta love Disney!

That sounds like a great trip! I can only imagine that it was hard to return to wintry Wis. I love the pictures. We have one of Zach in all the Mickey's when he was that age, and we always do the hats pictures too! Things you must do when at Disneyland! We are headed there in a couple of weeks, I am glad the princess line is one we won't have to wait in, I am sure there will be plenty of others!

Amy! I just sat down and read all about your family and all your fun adventures lately! Your Lucy is beautiful and I'm glad she's a happy 4th baby. You have your hands full, so that's a real blessing. Disneyland sounds heavenly! I seriously think I might love Disneyland more than my kids. It's always so clean too, which I appreciate. When we lived in Cali, we had Disney-Wednesdays with my ward (in lieu of park days!) We'd meet there with our kids and stay until we got tired of the crowds. I miss that! The picture of Lucy in the stuffed animals is my favorite! Glad you're thawing out a bit there. Spring is here, so hopefully, the flowers will be up before long!
