Wii Can Bowl

Lizzie really wanted to go "real" bowling for her birthday, so, as Kelly and I exchanged worried looks and put on our endurance armor (reserved for stake conferences, airplane rides, family flu shots, and other miserable and seemingly unending times) for the anticipated frustration.

To our delight, the "Super Bowl" (motto: Now you can say you've been in the Super Bowl) had the ball roller in addition to the bumper bowling, ensuring that even toddlers can hit pins.

"Dad, what this wind?"

Lizzie was actually surprised that she couldn't bowl as well with a 10 pound ball as she can with a Wii-mote. She thought the shoes might be the problem.

We figured that the ball weighs roughly half of Daisy's actual body weight.

And here are the happy bowlers post-game.

Apparently, what they say is true: once you get a taste of the Super Bowl, you can't wait to get back to it.

Sadly, all birthdays are over until October, so we won't be birthday bowling for a while. But we're practicing at home. Someone WILL bowl a perfect game.
