100 Things

Inspired by Aimee, here are a quick 100 things you may not know about me, in no particular order:

1. I am left handed.
2. So is Kelly. That makes the odds of our children being lefties 50 percent. So far, Anna is it.
3. I love holiday candy. October through April (or March this year) is my happy season.
4. I especially love Easter candy.
5. Even Peeps. Especially Peeps.
6. I have a candy cupboard in my kitchen that is usually well-stocked.
7. I always wanted straight blond hair.
8. A big part of me misses my piano playing days.
9. Someday I would love to sing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
10. I don't know how much our mortgage payment is. Kelly takes care of it and I just live here.
11. I hate Quicken. Don't show me how much I spent last month...and don't show me a pie chart.
12. Speaking of pies, I am not crazy about pie.
13. My drink of choice is water.
14. I have been in three accidents, all of them while I was in reverse.
15. To this day, I am scared of hitting white Cadillacs.
16. I really like going to bed early.
17. My favorite hour of the day is 6 a.m.
18. Running feels good on the inside, even if it hurts on the outside.
19. I am looking for a great new book.
20. I was afraid of getting married.
21. I'm glad I got over my fear because it's the best decision I've ever made.
22. I don't have a middle name. I always wanted one.
23. I guess Warner is my middle name now, isn't it?
24. I love orange roses.
25. I also love hydrangeas.
26. But lilacs are my all-time favorite.
27. My favorite thing about spring in Wisconsin is that the lilacs stay in bloom for a month.
28. I love to run in the rain, especially in Utah where rain smells so good.
29. I don't regret having three girls and no boys. I love my girls.
30. I love watching Kelly with the girls. They adore him and vice versa.
31. I was a shy kid. I never felt like I fit in very well.
32. I love to be surrounded by friends. Possibly a result of #31.
33. I love being with my siblings. Especially at the beach.
34. I wish I had time to play more tennis and get really good at it.
35. Someday I plan on joining a tennis club and accomplishing #34.
36. I am too cheap to join a tennis club. I'll just play outside.
37. Kelly and I don't spend money very well.
38. We wish we did.
39. I love that my children sing all the time. My mom says that happy children sing. I hope that's right.
40. I could do for many days without cookies.
41. Unless they're in front of me.
42. A genetic defect makes me love frosting. Especially when it's shaped like flowers.
43. Every Valentines Day I make cookies, whether I want to or not.
44. I also decorate said cookies with pink frosting and white icing designs.
45. Every year, I call my sister and my mother and we're all doing the same cookies, whether we want to or not. It's just not Valentines Day without them.
46. I love shoes. Cute ones.
47. I hate that in Wisconsin, one must have practical shoes instead of cute ones.
48. Kelly and I think we were meant to live somewhere south of here.
49. We have no plans to leave very soon.
50. I love politics.
51. But not so much that I watch C-Span.
52. I still can't listen to Wagnerian opera. Sorry, Dr. Miller. Sorry, Aimee.
53. Deep down, I have always wanted to be an actress. In musicals.
54. I have no acting ability.
55. I love watching TV. A lot.
56. I have written in my journal every day (almost) since I was 10.
57. When I was in high school, I worked at Brighton Girls' Camp.
58. I hated junior high. (Did anyone really like junior high? Honestly?)
59. Someday I want to see England.
60. I want to go to Hawaii with Kelly.
61. And Mexico.
62. And the Carribbean.
63. I love the feeling of sand between my toes.
64. I love being on boats. I love the feeling of the currents and waves.
65. My favorite food is apples. But only when they're crunchy.
66. I didn't realize how much I would love watching my girls do gymnastics.
67. I can't wait to have time to teach part time high school choir.
68. I love my degree in choral music.
69. I hardly know any music from my high school days. My friends and I listened to the Indigo Girls, John Denver, James Taylor, and Sting.
70. I don't know any of the Backstreet Boys' names or songs.
71. I have no regrets about #70.
72. I really don't like LDS pop music.
73. College was a great time. I loved being on campus...even the basement of the music building.
74. Singing in A Capella was the highlight of college for me. If I had known how many friends I would make there, I would have joined earlier.
75. That is where Kelly and I met.
76. I can't eat green peppers.
77. This morning on the treadmill I learned that I am very sensitive to garlic. The man next to me must have eaten the whole bulb raw; I nearly passed out during my run. Maybe I am part vampire.
78. I love my family's cabin at Mt. Air.
79. Except for the outhouse.
80. Ice cream, no. Ben & Jerry's sorbet, yes...oh, yes.
81. I love slushy drinks.
82. I am scared of video cameras.
83. I love a great pair of jeans.
84. I am most comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt.
85. Unfortunately for #84, I watch too much "What Not to Wear."
86. I love Kelly in jeans and a button down shirt.
87. My eyes are terrible. I really want lasic.
88. I have asthma. There, I said it.
89. I am scared of putting on weight. That's why I don't own a scale.
90. I have no idea how tall I am exactly. I always approximate.
91. I loved living in Philadelphia.
92. I love blogging, even though I never thought I would.
93. I love reading friends' blogs; I know all about you even though we don't talk much.
94. I love my girls' names. We thought long and hard about them all.
95. I love doing puzzles.
96. I am so proud of Kelly.
97. I miss my grandmothers.
98. I could live on a steady diet of rice and pasta. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
99. I love my name. I was named for my grandmother and she was named for her grandmother.
100. I wish I could dance. Really dance.

There, I did it. And I retained some of my deepest, darkest secrets. That was nice. Thanks.

I think you should add in your top 100 to write a book. You have a great wit in your writing style.
