They're not called Samoas, they're Carmel De-Lites

Okay, first of all, it is great to have a husband who supports the crazy things I do. Now for a little dose of reality. This article does not make me famous, nor does the fact that I am on the editorial board for a newspaper whose readership numbers in the hundreds.

I am still planning on blogging about our Christmas (even though my friend Andrea has a Valentine's Day quilt on her blog already), but I am currently in the throes of Girl Scout Cookie sales for Lizzie's troop. I am the "cookie lady" who passes out the order forms and scares the girls into not losing them; the one who bribes with things like chapstick on a lanyard and small pewter dogs for selling over 80 boxes of Thin Mints, the one who, with accountant-like precision, tallies up every box sold and every dollar collected until the columns match. And for all my efforts, they will give me a patch.

Please, buy cookies!

This is Mindy Chase, Brian's wife. I was wondering if we could purchase cookies from you even though we live in Boston? Last year our only girl scout flaked out on us and we never got to look at that oh so colorful order form. I can't wait for Kay to be old enough to be a girl scout for the cookies alone!!!!!
